FOUNDATION COURSE IN DANCE MOVEMENT PSYCHOTHERAPY
Monday the 16th of July to Sunday the 22nd of July, 2012

The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the basic concepts of the theory and practice of Dance Movement Psychotherapy. Students will be involved in theoretical seminars as well as experiential workshops and they will have the opportunity to connect theoretical components with their own experience in the group.

The course structure covers the basics on
• Theory and history of dance movement therapy
• Movement observation and analysis (Laban, kestenberg etc)
• Dance Movement Therapy with different populations (theoretical and video presentation)
• Group dynamics
• Experiential group
Student will be asked to keep a log book to record their experience which they will present at the final class.

 Date: Monday the 16th of July to Sunday the 22nd of July, 2012
 Time: Classes start at 9:30am and finish at 3:30pm.

 Fees: 900 Euros

Classes will take place at educational institution “EKFRASIS”, Stadiou 15, N. Smyrni, Athens, Greece. “EKFRASIS” is located only 20min by Tram from the centre of Athens (Acropolis, Plaka etc) and only 5min by Tram from the beach. Thus, this course gives students the opportunity to combine their learning experience with their holidays at a very beautiful and popular destination.
